What's Happening on the Hill-News from NDWS August 14-16 Appaloosa Horse Show 21 Fun Night Horse Show First and foremost, thank you to all that attended and supported the 2020 Annual Show in March. Mother Nature cooperated and blessed us with big attendance! I can't express enough how fortunate we were to host a safe 83rd NOWS just days before state shutdowns. Thank you for welcoming myself as the new manager and for attending our new show events! & Market The recent pandemic did cancel a handful of our events, others have been postponed with new ideas headed to the back burner for a later date. As restrictions were lifted we were able to host our first event the third weekend in June. This was a NDOHA Horse Show that was held safely and successfully, bringing back some exhibitors that had not been there in 27 years! September 11-13 NDQHA Horse Show 18-20 ND High School Rodeo This summer we went back to our roots with Old School Horse Show Fun Nights. The evening shows have given kids from Edgeley, Ypsilanti, Montpelier, Jamestown and the local area a place to ride, compete and have fun! Our next show is Friday August 21st. We have added a 19 and over division to include older riders and parents. Bill's Catering and Midwest Dairy will be serving concessions and ice cream. Along with the fun night we would like to offer a parking lot spot on the west side to any farmers market, crafters or fundraising groups. This opportunity is free of charge. Call the office at 845-1401 for more details. October 9-11 Great Midwest Horse Show Let's talk improvements! We are so excited to have purchased a new arena groomer, installed LED lights in our main arena and improved our warm-up arena. Can you hear that? No more buz of the old lights! We can't wait for you to see and hear the difference. November High School Rodeo is set for September 18-20. In lieu of sponsorship for this event, we are hosting a gun raffle. Tickets are $20. These can be purchased at the NDWS office or from any Winter Show director. Drawing will be held at our 21st Annual North Star Classic on Sunday December 6th. 20-21 Central ND Rabbit Breeders Show December May we cautiously and eagerly go forward to some normalcy on our calendar. I personally can't wait to get back to shaking hands and hosting more events at the NDWS! 4-6 North Star Classic Be Well, 6 Country Christmas Tesa Klein NDWS Mngr What's Happening on the Hill-News from NDWS August 14-16 Appaloosa Horse Show 21 Fun Night Horse Show First and foremost, thank you to all that attended and supported the 2020 Annual Show in March.
